I'll get to the point.... eventually.

I left work nearly 2 1/2 hours early tonight. That's unheard of! In order for that to have happened every single airplane had to have landed on time or early. And ohmigawd, they did! Again, unheard of! (Ok, so one problem was eliminated when I canceled a flight, but who's counting?)

So what's a girl to do? It's a Saturday night, the evening's still young... Go home, check email,
blog a bit and go to sleep, naturally. But.

The whole point behind this entry, the reason I opened up a New Post anyway is that I was giddy as a school girl as I left work. To have left so early in the evening was somewhat liberating (and, pathetic, as I further reflect on my giddiness). Anyway, I promptly jumped into my car, sped away and turned on some music.

Blasted it, in fact. What did I blast? What song(s) bolstered my (pathetic) energy for leaving work early?

End It On This (No Doubt)
"...And if I could turn back
The pages of time
I'd rewrite your point of view"

Swiftly followed by Tragic Kingdom (again, No Doubt).
"Once was a magical place
Over time it was lost..."

And so my question to you:
What do you blast in the car when you're being out-of-your-mind silly?

Me? "My Fair Lady"...in particular..."Just you wait 'enry 'iggins, just you wait" sung with full vigour!

Yummy...yes...virtual chocolates on demand...also a favorite of mine...dark chocolates filled with raspberry creme...and I will share them, too!

How lovely about your girls making the cards themselves! To make it easier for your kindergartener, you could make her a heart form she could trace and cut, for a fold card, and copy a simple poem or two, she could choose from, to be copied, cut, and pasted onto her card creation. Your older daughter may enjoy that too, instead of having to copy a poem every time. You might find a nice jingle on a store bought card or in a book.

They could add stickers, different size cut out construction hearts, maybe with 3-D accordian tabs to make the hearts pop-out... OHHHHHHH! I wish I could make some with them...lol.

Ummm, I am afraid it is not the right person to ask, lol... Because I just listen to music Rock.Com. It is a great classic rock radio and enough for me. On the other hand, I just watch Cnbc-e and CNN. You know they are not music channels. I used to watch MTV once upon a time but not anymore... I think I will be able to comment to your posts with this way. So thanks for the link and stopped by. Have a nice Sunday!! Zeynep Ankara xx

As you probably know from visiting my blog I'm kind of "old school" and little bit of everything else. I'll crank Rick James, Cake, The Gap Band, Wilco, Van Morrison, The Talking Heads, I'm all over the place when it comes to music.

I hace tried to post this comment twice. I'll try again. I play "Eleanor Rigby" by the Beatles real loud. And I sing allong at the top of my lungs.

Since I'm super young & trendy, I'm usually listening to new music.

Today I was listening to a new band called 'Joe Lean & The Jean Jang Jong' they'll be huge, you heard it hear first.

Though a personal favourite in the past 12 months has to be Arcade Fire 'Keep The Car Running' while I'm peddling away on my 2-wheel chick magnet mobil.

In my car, not too much I don't have much portable music usually with me, so I am dependant on the radio which doesn't do much for me. I really need to get an adapter for my mp3 player. However at home when I want to get funky I put on some Lenny Kravitz -- Are you gonna go my way. (Why yes, Lenny I will go wherever you want baby...) Or some Louis Prima... I dig that cat or Sheryl Crowe or Nosotros... the list gets long.

I really love anything with a good beat. And I must say, any time I listen to No Doubt, I immediately think of you. Awwwww! Isn't that special? I generally listen to upbeat music when I feel silly: Erasure, L.A.M.B. CD, things I wouldn't normally listen to on a regular basis...like Justin Timberlake and stuff.
