Toothfairy troubles

Abby is incapably of saying "thistle" and "mints" right now. Over the course of the last week or so my baby finally lost her two front teeth.

There was a dark side to this happy family moment, however.

I have it on good authority that the Toothfairy's job is getting tougher. An initial attempt to secure the package was scrapped after it was discovered that the child was, unfortunately, awake. A bullet was artfully dodged by feigning an extra kiss goodnight in lieu of making the switch. The mission was accomplished some time later but not without continued threat of discovery.

It's a tough life for a Toothfairy these days.

We haven't met the tooth fairy yet. She is going to have to climb a bunk bed at our house. I may have to alter the under the pillow rules or something. Or risk the fairy having a head injury. ; )

I remember when my mom just gave up. It was right around the time I figured out if I constantly wiggled my teeth I could get them loose enough to force out. I'd hand her the tooth and she'd hand me the dollar and we'd go about our business. I DON'T plan on following in her footsteps.

Tough life for the tooth-fairy indeed. Our tooth swap was almost foiled, too!

Those pictures are adorable!

Not only that, I think the Tooth Fairy must have to drive around in an armored car in order to handle all the money that it costs to buy back teeth from kids. There are SOME children who seem to think the tooth Fairy is a cheap @#%$%$%^% because all they got was a buck!!!

LOL I love this. I can remember having to do the same thing when my boys all lost teeth:) Sometimes, kids are just too smart for our own good. LOL
