What made me smile today

I had just returned home from the gym. I spent an hour teaching a water aerobics class, another hour training a client, and twenty minutes on the elliptical. Needless to say I was sweaty, tired, and anxious to shower.

As I was walking onto my front porch I heard Emily's bus rumbling up the street. So I waited, smiling, as my 7 year old came off of the bus and up the steps toward me.

"Mama, can we go for a run together?"

In an instant I was no longer tired. Sweaty didn't matter. And I knew my legs could handle a few more minutes of work.

That's my girl!

Reading the above I am a bit sad the spammers don't even bother me. Am I twisted or what.

Every time I come by I think I need to work out more...

That is what I am trying to instill in my children. I just started working out this week, but instead of doing it when they are not around like I used to, I am now doing it when they are awake and around (like taking my daughter and her tricycle to the park this morning so I could run and she could try to keep up with me), so that they can see that exercise is something that is fun.

Very sweet, you're really instilling the girl with healthy values. Kudos!

Kids can make even a stoic smile. At 3:33 this morning we became grandparents again. Time to check my airline flight tables. We can hardly wait! :o)

That's cool. Sounds like you had a great workout! Speaking of "anxious to shower".. I stopped at the tanning place on the way home from the gym. I'm pretty stinky right now. Better get going. :)
