1. Seeing my family and friends.
I'll get shot if that's not first on my list.
2. Eating at my favorite Mexican restaurant.
You can't find authentic Mexican food in Illinois... you have to go to California! ;)
3. Eating potstickers from my favorite Chinese restaurant.
Do you notice a trend here?
4. Dry heat.
I'm happiest when I'm warm...even if it's 100 degrees in the shade.
5. Camping & fishing with the kids.
I think I'm going to go with the "toss the fish back" idea... thanks!
6. Swimming.
There aren't any good outdoor pools here...and I'm not swimming in the Mississippi!
7. Getting some great pictures and videos of the kids with Grandpa Bill.
This one needs no explanation!
8. Seeing how my hometown has changed over the years.
You can take the girl out of California, but you can't take California out of the girl!

California love...
You can't take California out of a girl. I have always wanted to live in NYC, but I would die of homesickness, I am sure!
Would love to get together with you if you have a spare hour for lunch or something. Maybe I will have to work while you are in town and I can come all the way to Vaca...when the time comes closer we should plan something!
Where exactly did you live in Cali, and why have we not discussed this before? You do know I was born in Cali, right?
Born in Fontana (just a hop, skip, and jump east from San Bernadino), grew up in Death Valley and Apply Valley. Of course, I'm kind of a cheater, as I only lived there for a few years of my life before moving to the midwest. And since I have a love/hate relationship with the ocean, I guess that's probably why.
WOW!WHAT A FASCINBLE TOUR! SO THE COUNTDOWN IS STARTED!!
LUCKY U! CIAOO

Nice trip plan Elizabeth. But don't forget some things out of the plan, lol. Enjoy!!
Sounds like fun. We wan to go camping this summer. I hope we get some rain though right now you can't light a campfire it's too dry. Have fun in Cow town, I knew you were a cowgirl at heart.
You can get some supremely awesome Mexican food in Texas. I don't know if it's authentic, but it is hella good.
I can plan a whole trip around the food and always have to bite my tongue when I travel with those who aren't like that. MAJOR bummer.
You're a TRANSPLANT and you still haven't brought your ass up to see me? Less than 100 miles away???
But seriously, girl. Have fun.
THEN, come visit me.
It is just my amazing command of Spanish. Giddy up Vaquero, I mean Vaquera.
Sounds like an amazing road trip... what stories and amazing fun this will be!
Maybe on the next road trip to you work your way North ... say like, into Canada??? It's very nice here and the people are spectacular!!!

Suzy and I are heading to perform in the Spring Winds concert. I'll be playing soprano and alto sax. Suzy will be playing Eb and Bb soprano clarinet. Life is good.
I lived in Livermore for about 5 years. I loved it up there. If I could afford to raise a family up there I would still be there.
